Closed-Cell Spray Foam
More insulation per inch than open-cell foam, with greater resistance to water vapor. Useful where cavity depth is limited or moisture control matters.

How pricing works
We don't publish a price list, because buildings with the same footprint can need very different amounts of foam. Nick gives a rough estimate from what you send and a firm quote once he has seen the job. Estimates are free, and veterans and service members get a discount that depends on the job.

Common questions
Who will actually do the work?
Nick Bond, the owner. He quotes the job, sprays the foam himself and works with one consistent crew member. He brings 8 years of insulation experience and 8 years of construction experience, and he stays on site from start to finish.
What does a ratio-monitored rig do for me?
Spray foam is mixed on site from two liquid components that are meant to go on at one-to-one. Nick's Graco rig monitors that ratio while he sprays, and on request he can provide an application report showing how much foam went on and the ratio it was sprayed at. He invested in it to back up Empire's expertise with data.
Is spray foam worth it for a shop or pole barn?
Usually, and in a pole barn or metal shop it's about the only good way to insulate. Fiberglass is made for a vented attic; fastened to a roof deck it traps moisture, rots and falls down over the years. Foam stops the air and vapor that make metal sweat. If you plan to sell within a year or two, foam probably won't pay you back; it usually takes 3 to 10 years.
Which towns do you work in?
Empire is based in St. Maries and works in Harrison, Wallace, Fernwood, Santa, Troy, Priest River, Priest Lake, Hauser and Oldtown. Nick also travels 100+ miles for projects in Idaho, so if your town isn't listed, call or text and ask.
Do you do anything besides spray foam?
Empire is a spray foam company, mainly 2-lb closed-cell and HFO closed-cell, with open-cell for specific projects. It doesn't do blown-in insulation or remove old insulation. When budget is tight, Empire can offer a hybrid, part spray foam and part fiberglass, to cut the cost, and it can paint exposed foam for a finished look.
Does spray foam need to be covered?
Often, yes. Spray foam is combustible, so codes generally require an approved thermal barrier, such as gypsum drywall, between foam and occupied space. Some attics, crawl spaces and tested assemblies follow different rules. The answer depends on the product, how you use the space and local code.
What should I send to get an estimate?
Call, text or use the form with your town, what the building is and how you use it, its rough size and what you want insulated. Photos of the framing help. Nick gives a rough number from that and a firm quote once he has seen the job. Estimates are free, and veterans and service members get a discount that depends on the job.
